At Caton Constructions, we’re looking for experienced Leading Hands who can take ownership on site, lead by example and help deliver high-quality custom homes and duplexes from start to finish.

Caton Constructions builds high-quality custom homes and duplexes across the Sutherland Shire and greater Sydney.

We’re a small, tight-knit team with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship, communication and disciplined project delivery.

You’ll work closely with the director, subcontractors and site team to help keep projects moving efficiently while maintaining a high standard across every stage of the build.

THE ROLE

As a Leading Hand, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day coordination and delivery of projects on site.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and coordinating trades on site

  • Delivering high-quality carpentry work across all stages

  • Maintaining programme and workflow on site

  • Reading plans and ensuring work is completed to specification

  • Identifying and solving problems before they become issues

  • Maintaining site presentation, safety and organisation

  • Helping uphold quality and accountability across the build

This role suits someone who can take ownership, communicate clearly and lead calmly under pressure.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is highly experienced in residential construction

  • Has previously led teams or managed sections of projects on site

  • Understands sequencing, coordination and site flow

  • Communicates well with trades, suppliers and clients

  • Can maintain quality and programme without constant supervision

  • Takes pride in delivering organised, high-quality work

  • Leads by example and keeps standards high across the site

Experience in custom homes and duplex projects will be highly regarded.
